Our story
About Making Waves Tutoring
We realized how incredibly fortunate we are to be able to take the classes we do at Harvard-Westlake. The depth of critical thinking and intellectual challenge presented in honors math classes is truly transformative, far exceeding anything we encountered previously. We would like everyone that has a true passion for learning — specifically, math — to be able to experience the same challenge and wonder that we feel in class.
What we offer

Math topics covered
Our tutoring sessions cover a wide range of math topics including arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and more.
One-on-one lessons
Our volunteers provide individualized online math lessons at no cost to the students.
Levels of teaching
We teach students in grades 3 to 8, free of charge.
