About Making Waves Tutoring

Our Story

We realized how incredibly fortunate we are to be able to take the classes we do at Harvard-Westlake. The depth of critical thinking and intellectual challenge presented in honors math classes is truly transformative, far exceeding anything we encountered previously. We would like everyone that has a true passion for learning—specifically, math—to be able to experience the same challenge and wonder that we feel in class.

We provide free online support to children from grades 3-8 to spread the life-changing effects of an engaging math education.

How It Works

Math Topics Covered

Our tutoring sessions cover a wide range of math topics including arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and more.

One-on-One Lessons

Our volunteers provide individualized online math lessons at no cost to the students.

Levels of Teaching

We teach students in grades 3 to 8, free of charge.
